Associação Bamboo is a small dog and donkey shelter in the Western Algarve. The shelter has 15 donkeys and usually 25-30 dogs.
The shelter was created in 2000 by Nana whose dream was to be the voice for the voiceless. Nana sadly passed away in December 2017 and the people who inherited Bamboo, are dedicated to continue the work. It is ran by volunteers on a daily basis, but in order to continue the work, a lot of support is needed.
Associação Bamboo is an amazing place where the dogs have large pens and they are able to run freely on the daily walks. Bamboo is kept small to be able to give the dogs a lot of attention and love. The donkeys roam freely on the fenced property after the dogs have been on the walk.
Please help so the volunteers can continue the work to take care of the animals and try to find new loving homes. To donate, click here. All donations go to the organisation.
